A Sonoma woman and her four passengers suffered minor injuries Thursday afternoon when an out-of-state driver who was stopped on the shoulder of Napa Road suddenly turned in front of her in an apparent attempt at a U-turn, the CHP said.
Annelore Enz, 60, was eastbound near Burndale Road when the vehicle driven by Orlando, Fla. resident Felix Socarras, 49, suddenly pulled into her lane, sideswiped her Chevy Trailblazer and caused her to crash into a ditch off the edge of the road, the CHP said.
Two people from her car were taken to Queen of the Valley Hospital in Napa for treatment of pain in the wake of the 2:25 p.m. crash east if Welzel Lane, CHP Officer Anna Paulson said. Three others went to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for evaluation and treatment, Paulson said.
Socarras was uninjured.
