Police say they do not yet know the identity of a driver killed in a single-vehicle accident on Highway 29 near American Canyon Sunday morning.

The California Highway Patrol says a 1995 Toyota Camry was southbound north of South Kelly Road around 4:47 a.m. when it veered off the road and smashed into a parked vehicle.

The Camry burst into flame, the CHP said. Medics declared the driver dead at the scene.

The cause of the accident is unknown and the Napa County Coroner's Office is attempting to identify the remains of the driver.
