A cyclist who was seriously injured in a head-on crash on Trinity Road in Glen Ellen remained at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital Sunday in critical condition, officials said.

Tristan Humble, 25, was riding downhill on the steep and twisting road Saturday afternoon when the Santa Rosa man drifted into the lane of oncoming traffic, according to the CHP.

Humble hit the front fender of a mini-van and was thrown onto the windshield, suffering major head injuries.

He was taken by ambulance to the Cal Fire station in Glen Ellen and flown by helicopter to Memorial Hospital.

Two cyclists who were riding with Humble said it was his first time riding on Trinity Road.

No one in the mini-van was injured.
