A man killed in a fiery Napa County crash was believed to be a Vallejo resident, a Napa County sheriff's official said Tuesday.

His identity will need to be verified through dental records, said Capt. Tracey Stuart.

The man died Sunday morning. Just before 5 a.m. he'd been driving on Highway 29 when his 1995 Toyota Camry veered off of the highway and hit a parked vehicle, according to CHP reports.

The crash happened near Napa, just north of South Kelly Road.

The car caught fire and the driver was burned beyond recognition.

Stuart said his identity was expected to be verified later this week.
