Two Healdsburg men were hospitalized with major injuries and three others were arrested Sunday after a large and brutal fight broke out, police said.

The fight involved two groups of people who lived in apartments several doors down from one another at 46 West Grant St., Healdsburg Police Sgt. Luis Rodriguez said.

One group told officers they were assaulted by the other.

A man sustained major head and neck injuries and was knocked unconscious and another man was kicked and struck in the face with a belt buckle, suffering a deep laceration to his chin, Rodriguez said.

A woman was also assaulted by several men and another man was struck by a folding chair, Rodriguez said.

Police found three suspects in the fight inside their apartment and arrested:

Bernardo Floriano Hernandez, 62, on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon; Geronimo Cervantes, 20, on suspicion of felony battery causing great bodily injury; and Miguel Castaneda, 20, on suspicion of violating probation, Rodriguez said.
