And on the 13th practice, Charles Woodson rested. Woodson, who vowed to be a regular practice participant and that coaches would have to pull him off the field, did not participate for the first time. No word on if Woodson was being rested or has an injury. . . . Cornerback D.J. Hayden is expected to be cleared for contact Friday, and the hope is he will be ready to see action in the third exhibition game against the Chicago Bears on Aug. 23. Hayden returned to practice, still wearing a red no-contact jersey. . . . Cornerback Tracy Porter did not finish practice because of an undisclosed injury. . . . Running back Latavius Murray missed his second straight practice and his chances of unseating Rashad Jennings appear slim. . . . A strong punting day for Marquette King, who out-kicked Chris Kluwe with a 50-yard punt to 36-yarder for Kluwe against Dallas. The Raiders punted only twice in the game.
