The more than 3,500 runners expected to turn out for the Santa Rosa Marathon, Half-Marathon and 5K footrace Sunday morning will likely get perfect weather conditions for the event, according to the National Weather Service.
Overnight lows tonight are expected to be 54 degrees with cool morning temperatures before warming up around 10 a.m. The high tomorrow — and for the rest of the week — should be about 75 degrees, according to meteorologist Diana Henderson.
Runners for all three distances will begin and end at Juilliard Park in downtown Santa Rosa. The full marathon begins at 6 a.m., the half marathon at 6:30 a.m. and the 5K at 7:15 a.m.
Road closures are planned and traffic along the race route is expected to be impacted throughout the morning.
