Mark your calendars. The first day of the 2013-14 school year for Sonoma County's largest school district is Aug. 15.
Santa Rosa City Schools on Wednesday approved next year's calendar, marking the first time the district has had a full 180 instructional days since budget woes first forced a reduction in 2010-11.
Under the plan approved Wednesday, teachers will return to work Aug. 13.
In another change, students and teachers will have the entire Thanksgiving week off, a first for a year with no furlough days.
Winter break will begin Dec. 23 and run through Jan. 3. School will resume Jan. 6.
Spring break will be March 17-21.
The Standardized Testing and Reporting program (STAR) will be given in a window that runs from April 7-29.
The last day of school for elementary schools will be May 29, while the final day for middle and high school campuses will be May 30.
