Six drivers were arrested Friday in two separate DUI and drivers license checkpoints staged in Rohnert Park and Sebastopol.

More than 950 vehicles were screened at a checkpoint at Gravenstein Highway North and Soll Court in Sebastopol between 6:40 p.m. and midnight. Of the 958 vehicles screened, 20 drivers were given further alcohol impairment tests. Three drivers arrested for operating a vehicle without a license or with a suspended license. Another driver was arrested on other criminal charges, according to the Sebastopol Police. Four additional citations were issued.

In Rohnert Park, a checkpoint was operated from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. at East Cotati Avenue near Santero Way. Of the 1,050 vehicles that went through the checkpoint, 956 were screened by officers, according to the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety.

Officers arrested and cited two drivers — one for DUI and one for driving on a suspended license.
