Officials overseeing the launch of Sonoma County's public power agency are holding an informational public meeting in Santa Rosa Wednesday to discuss various issues about the startup electricity venture.

The meeting is from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Finley Community Center on West College Avenue. It is the second-to-last informational meeting for Sonoma Clean Power in a recent series of gatherings that visited most cities. A meeting at The Sea Ranch has been rescheduled for Dec. 7.

The Santa Rosa meeting will include a 30-minute presentation by Geof Syphers, the agency's interim CEO, covering the agency's purpose, function, estimated rates for customers, job creation and timeline for launch.

A question-and-answer period will follow the presentation.

The agency's regular board meeting is set for Thursday at 8:45 a.m. in the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors' chambers.
