Man suspected in rash of daytime burglaries across Windsor arrested

Windsor police have arrested a man they believe is responsible for a recent rash of daytime burglaries in the city.

Officers arrested Stephen Dotson, 31, at his Windsor home Thursday night after a witness identified him in connection with a burglary reported around 4 p.m. on Dizzy Gillespie Way. The description of the suspect in that case matched that of suspects in several recent burglaries, Sgt. Jim Naugle said in a release.

When officers arrived at Dotson's home around 9:40 p.m., they found items that appear to have been taken in the earlier burglaries, he said.

Dotson was arrested and charged with residential burglary and possession of stolen property. Naugle said more charges are likely.
