Clearlake police have arrested a man suspected of stabbing two people.
Police Monday reported the suspect John Dalmolin, 42, had gone to a Grant Drive home to see an ex-girlfriend and got into a fight with others at the home.
Robert Logue, 40, and Samuel Farnan, 19, suffered stab wounds and were taken to St. Helena Hospital in Clearlake.
Farnan then was transferred to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital due to his injuries, according to police.
Police were called to Grant Drive at about 12:20 a.m. Sunday.
They found the two injured men and learned the suspect had driven away before they arrived.
Clearlake Officer Chris Reagan spotted the suspect's car, crashed into a tree a few blocks away.
The suspect then was seen in a car driving by the crash site.
Police believe the suspect left his wrecked car, got a ride, and was passing by the crash when he was spotted.
Reagan and Lake County sheriff's deputies pulled over the car and arrested him at about 12:30 a.m.
Detectives determined the man had carried a knife to the house and used it in the fight, officials said. He then drove away and quickly crashed.
Dalmolin of Clearlake was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, hit and run and an outstanding warrant.
He was booked into the Lake County Jail. Bail was set at $30,000.
Officials asked anyone with information to contact Officer Ryan Peterson at (707) 994-8251 ext. 320.
