Pursuit of Walmart robbery suspect ends in Napa County crash

An armed robber at a Walmart in American Canyon led deputies on a chase that ended in a crash, the California Highway Patrol in Napa reported.

The pursuit happened around 4:30 a.m., and several of the deputies' vehicles were hit along the way, said CHP Officer Steven Wheat. After chasing the suspect for about two miles, the pursuit ended at a mobile home park on Flosden Drive, Wheat said.

"An officer tried to stop the vehicle with his car, and he rammed him," Wheat said. "He's in custody, and rehabilitating in the hospital right now. He got hurt in the crash, I guess."
