Four people took the bait in Sonoma County over the weekend during a multi-agency sting aimed at arresting people willing to buy alcohol for minors, authorities said.

In Santa Rosa, a person younger than 21 working with police on Friday visited seven businesses and asked 25 different people to buy alcohol on his or her behalf.

Two people complied and were arrested on suspicion of furnishing alcohol to a minor, and cited to appear in court, police said.

Sonoma police ran a similar operation, visiting five businesses with a "minor decoy" where two people bought alcohol, sheriff's officials said.
