A man was arrested Sunday in Santa Rosa after he led authorities on a high-speed chase in what was later was determined to be a stolen truck.
The man's identity was not available Sunday.
A Santa Rosa police officer was in the process of pulling over the driver of a Jeep on Santa Rosa Avenue near Hearn Avenue at about 9:30 a.m. Sunday when a driver in a gold truck that was in between the two vehicles sped off.
The truck reached speeds estimated at 100 mph before the officer made the decision to terminate the pursuit, police said.
Soon after, residents at 2615 Stony Point Road reported that a truck had crashed into their front fence and that the driver had fled on foot.
The man was later found hiding in a shed behind a house in the 2000 block of West Hearn Avenue and taken into custody.
The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office at the time was investigating the theft of a gold truck from the Sonoma area.
