Police seek suspect in Clearlake armed robbery

A man robbed a Clearlake Verizon Wireless store at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon, Clearlake police said.

The suspect, a white male approximately 30 to 35 years old, walked into the store on Manzanita Avenue wearing an orange ski mask and brandishing a firearm, according to police. He took an undisclosed amount of money and fled north on foot into a wooded area.

A police and K-9 search failed to locate the suspect, who remains at large.

The suspect was wearing a heavy black jacket, dark colored pants, dark colored shoes and a baseball hat. The weapon used in the robbery was described as a black semi-automatic pistol, witnesses told police.

Anyone with information regarding this incident should contact Officer Elvis Cook at 994-8251.
