A 22-year-old Santa Rosa man was arrested Sunday on suspicion of drunken driving after he crashed into a fence and several parked cars in different locations around Guerneville, CHP officials said.

Jacob Cyrus Sullivan crashed his girlfriend's 1998 Saturn into a fence on Center Way early Sunday morning, leaving behind the front bumper and license plate, Officer Marcus Hawkins said. The Saturn then sideswiped a parked car around the corner on Guernewood Road, leaving behind the Saturn's right front fender, Hawkins said.

The Saturn was next seen at about 6 a.m. in the Safeway parking lot on Main Street.

A Safeway employee watched as the Saturn crashed into his car, a Ford Escape, switched into reverse and then backed into a parked Toyota Matrix. Several employees called 911 as the Saturn drove away, Hawkins said.

Sonoma County sheriff's deputies found Sullivan in the driver's seat of the Saturn, which was stopped in the middle of First Street in front of the sheriff's substation, Hawkins said.

Sullivan was booked into the Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of drunken driving, driving with a suspended license, giving a false name to police, hit-and-run and an outstanding warrant, Hawkins said. He was not in custody late Sunday, jail staff said.
