Santa Rosa motorcyclist, 30, suffers life-threatening injuries in crash

A motorcyclist hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after a Saturday night crash in Santa Rosa has been identified as Ryan Harter.

Harter, 30, of Santa Rosa, was driving on Hoen Avenue when he collided with a car at the intersection of Boston Court, police said Sunday.

Harter was taken to a Bay Area hospital. The name of that hospital was not immediately available and Harter's condition could not be learned Sunday morning.

Santa Rosa Police Sgt. Mike Numainville said in a statement that the driver of the car, Bobby Vitatoe, 26, of Santa Rosa, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

An investigation into the 7:51 p.m. accident is ongoing. People with information are asked to call Officer Mike Mieger at 543-3636.
