Santa Rosa man jailed on DUI, drug charges after crash

A Santa Rosa man lost control of his vehicle while driving on Guerneville Road in west Santa Rosa, hitting a light post and phone pole before the small car rolled onto its roof.

Ryan James Holleran, 27, was arrested him on suspicion of drunken driving, said Santa Rosa police Sgt. Rich Celli.

Power lines were knocked down in the 11:45 p.m. collision Monday, briefly killing power to the area and a PG&E crew responded.

Holleran had been driving a Honda Fit, heading west, when he crashed near Ridley Avenue. He was treated for minor injuries and taken to the Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of DUI and possessing a small amount of cocaine.

The man had been convicted of drunken driving in Sonoma County in 2004.

Celli asked anyone with information about the crash to contact Jeff Woods at the police department at (707) 543-3600.
