A late night vehicle crash on Farmers Lane led to the arrest of a Santa Rosa man on suspicion of child endangerment.
Willliam Christopher Ferry III was westbound on Highway 12 when he turned onto Farmers Lane, lost control of his pickup and smashed into a metal barrier.
A breathalyzer test showed that Ferry, 34, had a blood alcohol concentration more than twice the legal limit of .08, Santa Rosa Police Sgt. John Cregan said in a press release.
Ferry's 13-year-old son was in the vehicle, and Ferry was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and child endangerment, Cregan said.
Neither Ferry nor his son -- who was released into the custody of his grandmother -- was injured in the 11:32 p.m. crash.
Ferry's 2002 GMC Sierra suffered major damage in the crash. Ferry was booked into Sonoma County Jail on $10,000 bail.
