The Cotati-Rohnert Park School Board has called a special meeting for Monday to vote on whether to rescind the charter revocation for Credo High School that the board approved Sept. 23.
If approved, the vote would end the charter revocation process that was launched in June when the board made formal the notice of violation for what the district deemed financial and administrative mismanagement.
In the past week, Credo backers have repaid $57,337 in debt to the district and an additional $4,743 to PG&E, City of Rohnert Park and Rohnert Park Disposal.
The new deal also requires Credo to send letters to its creditors informing them that the district is not liable for debts.
"We are making it very clear to their secured and unsecured creditors that the Cotati-Rohnert Park School District is in no way liable or responsible for this debt," said Superintendent Robert Haley. "We are hoping that at this point that Credo can operate on its own."
Haley has recommended rescinding the revocation notice.
The special meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Mountain Shadows Educational Center, 7165 Burton Ave. in Rohnert Park.
