A hit-and-run driver struck a pedestrian walking across Stony Point Road early Sunday and CHP officers were looking for the driver.

The injured man was rushed to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, according to emergency reports.

A 2:03 a.m. 911 caller reported a man down on the Stony Point roadway near Todd Road.

The victim reportedly had just left a nearby restaurant.

Damaged vehicle parts left behind were collected by officers, who were attempting to identify the make and model of the car.

Further details, including the extent of injuries and identity of the victim, weren't released Sunday by the CHP.

The hit-and-run incident was the second of the weekend being investigating by law enforcement.

A crash in east Santa Rosa early Saturday morning involved two vehicles on Highway 12 near Brush Creek Road.

One driver was taken to a hospital and the other fled the scene on foot, according to Santa Rosa police.

Officers Sunday were continuing to try and identify that driver.

The 6 a.m. crash briefly knocked out power to the area and closed one lane of westbound Highway 12 for most of Saturday for the investigation.

Santa Rosa police released no further details Sunday involving the victim or status of the investigation.
