Letter of the Day: Give Efren Carrillo a break

Give Carrillo a break

EDITOR: As a longtime Democrat and American Civil Liberties Union member, I am disappointed in the stance taken by the North Bay Labor Council calling on Efren Carrillo to resign as supervisor. Also, the Sonoma County Democratic Party weighed in, saying Carrillo should explain himself or resign. Is this the way to treat a talented and dedicated young citizen?

So he was involved in an altercation in San Diego, standing up for himself and his friends. Yes, he got drunk and bothered his neighbor.

Is this enough to force him to abandon his career, go to jail and suffer the sanctimonious malice of our county?

Give him a break.
