A drunken Rohnert Park driver hit six vehicles, sideswiping some and rear-ending others, as he traveled up Petaluma Boulevard North and Old Redwood Highway, Petaluma police said Monday.
Several 911 callers alerted police of the driver at about 4 p.m. Saturday, said Petaluma Lt. Tim Lyons.
Petaluma officers caught up to the red Nissan Sentra on Petaluma Hill Road near East Cotati Avenue and pulled over driver Salvador Reyes, 57.
They found he had a preliminary blood-alcohol level of .22 percent, almost three times the legal limit, said Lyons.
An investigation determined Reyes had left the Petaluma Outlet Mall and driven north. His car struck other vehicles also travelling along the route, Lyons said.
Reyes was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and hit and run. He was convicted of a drunken driving case in 2010, Lyons said.
