A six-vehicle crash snarled traffic on northbound Highway 101 Monday during the evening commute, CHP officials said.

The chain-reaction collision was reported at 5:02 p.m. just north of the Todd Road exit, according to the CHP.

One person reported suffering a nose bleed after hitting his or her face on the steering wheel, according to initial reports.

Traffic was backed up as south as the Cotati grade, according to a passing southbound motorist.

All lanes were clear by about 5:45 p.m.
