About 2,000 customers in the Santa Rosa Junior College area lost power for up to an hour on Wednesday, though PG&E says it is not yet clear what caused the problem.
Power was interrupted to 2,007 customers shortly after 11 a.m. in a wide area of the city, between College Avenue and Steele Lane, said spokeswoman Brandi Ehlers. This is the same area hit by a power outage late last week that was blamed on an equipment failure, but it is not yet clear whether the failures are connected, she said.
The power agency was able to restore power to about 1,200 customers within minutes, she said, and was able to restore power to all but 12 customers within 60 minutes.
The cause remains under investigation, she said.
