Letter of the Day: Bostonian attitude

  • People cheer passing police after the arrest of a suspect of the Boston Marathon bombings in Watertown, Mass., Friday, April 19, 2013. Two suspects in the Boston Marathon bombing killed an MIT police officer, injured a transit officer in a firefight and threw explosive devices at police during their getaway attempt. Bostonian attitude

EDITOR: How amazing and refreshing to see the people of a major city (Boston, of course) cheering and applauding every time law enforcement officers roll by. If this perspective has staying power and proves contagious, it will heal and uplift every big town in the United States.
