Ukiah crash between motorcycle, car injures one

A Laytonville motorcyclist suffered moderate injuries in a crash in Ukiah, the CHP said on Sunday.

The Friday crash happened at 12:51 p.m.

Billy Edwards, 66, was riding a Harley Davidson Road King southbound on North State Street when he crashed into another vehicle, the CHP said.

Brett Norgard, driving a 2013 Scion, had pulled into the intersection directly in front of Edwards, the CHP said.

Edwards crashed into the left front corner of the Scion and was ejected from his motorcycle and thrown over the car's hood. He was taken by air ambulance to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.

Norgard, 23, suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Ukiah Valley Medical Center.
