Lori Norton, a deputy county administrator in Sonoma County, has been hired by Calaveras County to oversee county agencies as its top administrative officer.

The Calaveras County Board of Supervisors voted 4-0 in closed session Tuesday to hire the veteran government administrator.

Norton, who will receive an annual salary of $168,105, is expected to start her new job on May 20.

Norton has spent more than 25 years as a government administrator, working for two cities and three counties. She moved to Santa Rosa seven years ago from Ventura County.
