Cloverdale police Wednesday arrested two men on suspicion of marijuana cultivation outside a warehouse on Cloverdale Boulevard.

Aaron Gallo of Windsor and Jerry Parks of McAllen, Texas, both 30, were booked into Sonoma County Jail later Wednesday. Both were released after posting bail Thursday, jail officials said.

The two men were arrested Wednesday afternoon when officers responding to a tip observed them leaving the warehouse at 223 S. Cloverdale Blvd., Sgt. Scott Allred said in a news release. Both men smelled strongly of marijuana, Allred said.

Gallo and Parks refused to cooperate with officers when questioned about the smell, but officers obtained a search warrant for the warehouse when a drug-sniffing dog detected traces of marijuana on both the warehouse door and Gallo's vehicle, Allred said.

A search of the warehouse revealed a "sophisticated" indoor, year-round marijuana garden, including water, heat, grow lights and fans, Allred said. Officers seized 121 marijuana plants, five immature plants and 10 plants on drying racks, Allred said.
