Power restored after Rohnert Park crash

A man suspected of driving under the influence of drugs crashed into a power pole Saturday morning, injuring himself and causing a power failure in Rohnert Park.

The incident occurred just after 7 a.m. on Snyder Lane between Mountain View and Petaluma Hill Road near Rohnert Park, the CHP said. Rohnert Park's north side was mostly without power at 9 a.m., according to Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety.

The driver, Adam Joseph of Rohnert Park, didn't remember what happened, Officer Nanad Gorenec said. Joseph had been traveling north on Snyder in a white Ford Explorer. He had lacerations on the back of his head and possibly an injured shoulder. He was arrested and released to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, Gorenec said.

Power was restored to all but two PG&E customers by 11 a.m. Those last two customers got their power back by 7:56 p.m.
