Three major crashes in Sonoma County at almost the same time early Monday afternoon had emergency crews rushing to northern Petaluma, Glen Ellen and Schellville, according to the CHP.

On Highway 101, south of Petaluma Boulevard North, an SUV ran off of the highway and overturned.

The 12:57 p.m. crash and emergency response blocked traffic for about an hour.

At least one person was transported by ambulance.

At 1:01 p.m., a rollover crash was reported on Warm Springs Road at Sonoma Mountain Road above Glen Ellen.

Initial reports indicated the wreck was blocking the northbound lane and that at least one person was taken to a hospital by ambulance.

And at 1:17 p.m., callers reported a head-on crash on Arnold Drive at East Bonness Road near Schellville in eastern Sonoma County.

Initial reports indicated no major injuries were involved, but crash debris was slowing traffic.

Know Your Rights

California law prohibits lawyers or others acting on behalf of a lawyer from:

— Soliciting clients at an accident scene, at a hospital, or on the way to a hospital.

— Soliciting clients who, due to their physical, emotional or mental state, may not be able to have reasonable judgment about the hiring of an attorney .

— Seeking clients by mail unless the letter and envelope are clearly labeled as an advertisement.

— Promising a particular outcome from legal representation.

In the wake of the fires, there is also the risk of victims being approached by people posing as attorneys. Consumers should determine if they are legitimate and licensed to provide legal services. Before hiring an attorney, look up their name or State Bar number on the State Bar website — — to check the status of their license to practice law and whether they have any record of discipline.
