Ren? Zellweger shopped and tasted in and around Sebastopol this past weekend, but the actress was here mostly for the appearance of her boyfriend, guitar wizard Doyle Bramhall, at the KRSH Radio 20th anniversary party.

Zellweger and Bramhall met as students at the University of Texas and were friends many years before partnering up.

Bramhall, who has deep roots in Santa Rosa, has brought his sweetheart the movie star to the area before. Ageless KRSH deejay Bill Bowker helped to discover Bramhall as a 15-year-old kid with a mohawk, so it was natural for Bramhall to perform at Friday's radio-station party in Sebastopol, along with the likes of Charlie Musselwhite and Ray Wylie Hubbard.

On Saturday, Zellweger bought collectibles at Whistlestop Antiques in Santa Rosa's Railroad Square. And Bowker enjoyed accompanying her and Bramhall for ice cream at Screamin' Mimis in Sebastopol.

Bowker said Zellweger is so low-key and easy to be with, you can forget she's a Hollywood celeb.

"She's so unassuming," the KRSH musicman said. "Just a downhome Texas girl."
