Holiday roundup: Tree-lighting ceremonies and more around Sonoma County

Geyserville: Geyserville's annual Tree Lighting & Tractor Parade of Lights is 5-8 p.m. Saturday, with Santa arriving at 5 p.m. at Capture Tasting Room, 21001 Geyserville Ave., tree lighting and carols at 6:15 p.m. at Visitors Plaza, and the tractor parade at 7 p.m. down Geyserville Avenue. 857-3745.

Healdsburg: Healdsburg's Downtown Holiday Party is 4-9 p.m. Friday in the Plaza, with arts and crafts for kids, music on many corners, clowns, carriage rides and Santa 4-6 p.m. The Plaza is between Center Street and Healdsburg Avenue, North and Matheson streets. Healdsburg.com.

Santa Rosa: The traditional downtown treelighting and Santa's arrival have gotten a boost this year, with candlelight remembrance, sing-along, children's play stations, hot beverages, wine tasting, live jazz and Santa at 5:45 p.m. No admission free. 888-5728.

Petaluma: Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive by riverboat at noon Saturday, touching down at the Turning Basin. visitpetaluma.com. The action moves to the Theatre District, with a treelighting 6-8:30 p.m. followed by treelighting and live music in Theatre Square Plaza, 140 Second St. 283-5555.

Rohnert Park: The annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Faire runs 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Rohnert Park Community Center, 5401 Snyder Lane, with local vendors selling handmade items. Free admission. 588-2226.

Bodega: Bodega Volunteer Fire Department is holding its annual Crafts Fair from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday at 17184 Bodega Highway, with local items and Santa. Free admission. Info, 876-9438.

Cotati: "Three Nights of Festive Fun" begin with a tree lighting at 6 p.m. Wednesday in La Plaza Park, which includes a visit from Santa, carols and music by the Rancho Cotate High School Choir and Band with guitarist Michael Paradiso.

"Holiday Cheer" is 5:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, with drink specials and complimentary appetizers at the 8 Ball, Cotati Yacht Club, Friar Tuck's Pub and Spancky's Bar.

A free Candlelight Concert is 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Church of the Oaks, Page Street at West Sierra Avenue. 795-5508.

Rohnert Park: The Holiday Lights Celebration is 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at the City Center Plaza, State Farm and City Center drives, with tree lighting, Santa Claus and holiday music.
