A 22-year-old man was struck by a vehicle and seriously injured Wednesday evening in Santa Rosa after a dispute with the occupants of the vehicle.

Police said the Santa Rosa man, whose name was not released, and a friend were leaving the Zoo bar on Barham Avenue shortly after 6:30 p.m. As they got in their vehicle, they engaged in a dispute with the occupants of a white Ford F-150 pickup truck. When the man got out of his vehicle to confront the other motorists, the driver of the truck accelerated into him and fled the scene.

Santa Rosa police were called to the scene by a report of a vehicle collision with injuries, but officers found no sign of an accident. They later learned the details when the injured man's friend brought him to a nearby hospital. The injured man remains hospitalized.

Police said they have no suspects and asked anyone with information to call 543-3590.
