Rohnert Park public safety officers Tuesday arrested a 29-year-old man on suspicion of hit and run and driving under the influence.
Witnesses told officers that the man, later identified as Jared Gregor Tortz, was driving through the Raley's parking lot on State Farm Drive about 3:44 p.m. when he struck a parked car and then drove away from the scene, authorities reported.
Tortz was spotted by a Rohnert Park motorcycle officer less than 15 minutes later as Tortz drove on Golf Course Drive near Gold Way, authorties said.
He was arrested after a DUI test, officers said.
Tortz has been arrested twice before for offenses involving alcohol and once before for a hit and run, Rohnert Park officers reported.
His city of residence was not given in a police report.
