QUARTERBACKS: B

Colin Kaepernick passed for 275 yards, looking much more efficient, and even more mobile than in recent weeks.

RUNNING BACKS: C

The running game was the least successful of the 49ers' endeavors against St. Louis.

RECEIVERS: A

Crabtree, Boldin and Vernon Davis — together for the first time, and it made a world of difference.

OFFENSIVE LINE: D

Granted, there were two starters out after Joe Staley was injured, but the line was abused a bit by the Rams.

DEFENSIVE LINE: A

Justin Smith consistently got a big push, and Glenn Dorsey (6 tackles) had his best game as a Niner.

LINEBACKERS: B

NaVorro Bowman led the team with 11 tackles. He and Pat Willis each had a sack.

DEFENSIVE BACKS: B

Credit the secondary for solid coverage, and credit the Rams receivers for dropping several passes.

SPECIAL TEAMS: B

Phil Dawson hit three field goals, and the 49ers snuffed out a fake punt. LaMichael James muffed a punt but got it back.

COACHING/OVERALL: B

Another convincing win against a bad team. The real test comes against Seattle next week.
