An American Canyon man thrown from his car during a Thanksgiving-morning Napa crash has died, the CHP said.
CHP investigators believe Adrian Rodriguez, 23, was intoxicated and not wearing his seat belt when he lost control of his 1998 Chevrolet Silverado pickup at about 1:40 a.m. Thursday.
Driving south of Napa, just north of South Kelly Road, his truck hit a guard rail. The impact sent it veering across the highway and overturning into a fence.
Rodriguez was ejected and he and the truck landed on Highway 29. The truck then was hit by two vehicles, including one car, which also hit the prone man.
He was considered critically injured and initially was in intensive care.
The CHP said Monday that the man died on Friday.
