Sonoma County sheriff's detectives Wednesday seized drugs and several guns, including two assault-style rifles, from a 21-year-old Sonoma man.
Ryan Christopher Cordano was arrested on suspicion of possessing an illegal assault weapon and a high-capacity ammunition magazine, possessing heroin and marijuana for sale as well as having narcotics while armed, Sgt. Mike Raasch said.
Detectives searched Cordano's vehicle and home on Serpilio Drive near Ernie Smith Park Wednesday morning after a confidential informant told detectives the man was selling drugs out of the house, Raasch said.
Cordano had two assault rifles, a sawed-off shotgun and a semi-automatic handgun in his room in a converted garage of the home, Raasch said.
Detectives also found two pounds of processed marijuana, a half-ounce of heroin, cash as well as items they suspect indicate drug sales including packaging material and a digital scale.
Cordano was being held at the Sonoma County Jail on $150,000 bail.
Sheriff's detectives also issued a citation to Cordano's 16-year-old brother after they found marijuana and alcohol in the teen's room, Raasch said.
