Fatal crash victim identified as Santa Rosa woman

A Santa Rosa woman who died after losing control of her pickup on an icy stretch of Highway 101 in Healdsburg was identified Monday as Sandra Adams, 52, CHP officials said.

Adams was driving a Ford Ranger pickup north on the highway at about 7:49 a.m. Saturday when she lost control on the Westside Road overpass, spun out and crashed, the CHP said.

The pickup struck a tree, spun around and hit two more trees in succession.

Adams died as Bell's Ambulance paramedics were transporting her to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, the CHP said.
