A Santa Rosa woman called police Tuesday morning saying she apparently interrupted a burglary at her home and two men fired a gun toward her as they fled.
The 43-year-old resident of Baldwin Way in the Fountaingrove area noticed a man parked in a car in front of her home when she pulled into the driveway at about 9 a.m., Santa Rosa Police Sgt. Dave Linscomb said.
Moments later, she saw another man approach her vehicle from behind and suddenly several rounds of gunfire struck her car, Linscomb said. The woman suffered a minor injury to an arm but was otherwise unharmed, he said.
The vehicle parked in front of her house sped off with at least two men. Police suspect the men had broken into her home. Police didn't describe what was taken.
Police had little description of the suspects, other than they appeared to be Latino men in their 20s. Linscomb said the vehicle was a dark-colored hatchback.
