Three pedestrians hit by vehicle, one injured in downtown Santa Rosa

A vehicle struck three pedestrians and injured one at the corner of Fourth and E streets in Santa Rosa early Monday afternoon.

The injured woman was taken to a local hospital with a head wound that was not life-threatening, Santa Rosa Police Sgt. John Snetsinger said. Her name and age were not available.

The incident occurred around 1:15 p.m. The vehicle appeared to have been traveling southbound at the time. Snetsinger said the driver had not been impaired, but he could not provide additional details about the cause Monday night, nor the name or age of the driver.

At the scene, Santa Rosa police and medics collected blood-soaked clothing and belongings from the crosswalk after placing the woman into an ambulance, leaving several puddles of blood on the pavement.
