A Santa Rosa man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence Friday evening after police say he drove his pickup truck into four vehicles at an east Santa Rosa intersection.

Jose Antonio Franco, 69, was driving his 2002 Toyota Tacoma westbound on Hoen Avenue at unsafe speeds, police said, when he collided with the vehicles stopped at a red light at the Yulupa Avenue intersection. The crash caused major damage to all five vehicles.

Three of the drivers of the other vehicles were injured as a result of the collision, though none of the injuries were considered life-threatening, police said.

One of the victims was transported to the hospital for medical treatment. Franco was not injured in the collision.

Franco's blood alcohol level was determined to be over twice the legal limit of .08 percent, and he was arrested for felony DUI.
