A seatbelt violation resulted in the discovery of a stolen vehicle Wednesday in Rohnert Park, the CHP said.
CHP Officer Eric Hill stopped a Honda Civic on the Wilfred Avenue off-ramp from Highway 101 at about 2:45 p.m. after he spotted a passenger in the vehicle not wearing a seatbelt.
That led to the discovery that the Civic had been reported stolen in Santa Rosa in November, the CHP said.
Officers also found marijuana, checks that did not belong to any of the vehicle's occupants, several sets of keys and what appeared to be burglary tools inside the Civic.
The CHP identified the driver as Michael Mosiurchak, 32, of Santa Rosa. He and two other people were taken to the CHP's office in Rohnert Park for questioning.
