Brad Bollinger has been named publisher of the North Bay Business Journal, a weekly business publication owned by Sonoma Media Investments.

Bollinger joined the Business Journal as editor in 2005 and was promoted to associate publisher in 2007. It was acquired by Sonoma Media Investments in 2012 when it purchased The Press Democrat.

"Under Brad's leadership the North Bay Business Journal has expanded its coverage and event offerings throughout the North Bay and has become the most comprehensive source of local business news in the area. We are pleased to recognize Brad's achievements by naming him publisher," Sonoma Media Investments CEO Steve Falk said in a statement.

Before joining the Business Journal, Bollinger served as business editor at The Press Democrat for 15 years. He currently is vice chairman of the North Bay Leadership Council and also serves on the boards of directors of the Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce, the Sonoma County Alliance, Empire College and is a trustee on the Ernest L. and Ruth W. Finley Foundation in Santa Rosa.

"It has been my privilege to be an observer of and participant in the North Bay's vibrant business community," Bollinger said in a statement. "We have an incredible team of people at the Business Journal dedicated to serving business and broader community. That's what drives us and will continue to drive us."

The publication focuses its coverage on the business communities of Sonoma, Napa and Marin counties, but also reaches into Solano, Lake and Mendocino counties.
