A large limb from a stately eucalyptus tree crashed to the ground Tuesday at Santa Rosa's Howarth Park, briefly blocking a park roadway.

The limb fell in the afternoon near the boulder climbing playground at the park off Summerfield Road, recreation supervisor Amy Rocklewitz said.

No one was injured.

The park road was blocked for about an hour as park staff cleaned up the mighty branch with chainsaws, Rocklewitz said.

It wasn't clear what caused the branch to fall.
