A Ukiah man was arrested Sunday on Highway 101 near Arata Lane after police observed him traveling at 103 miles per hour.
The California Highway Patrol stopped Adrian Magana Chavez, 21, around 8:10 a.m., according to a CHP release. He told the officer he was returning home from Santa Rosa.
Chavez was later arrested and faces charges of driving more than 30 miles per hour over the limit while intoxicated, the department said.
The arrest was part of a busy weekend for the CHP locally, according to the release, with officers arresting 23 people on area highways for a variety of offenses.
