A 52-year-old Sebastopol man was jailed for suspected drunken driving after he plowed into a downtown light pole early Thursday morning, city police said.

Gregory Conklin, 52, was apparently unhurt in the 2:12 a.m. crash at Sebastopol and Petaluma avenues, police said.

Conklin was booked into the Sonoma County Jail for suspected drunken driving, but was later released after posting bail, jail personnel said.
