Kosta Browne has bolstered its new estate program with the purchase of its first vineyard, a 20-acre block from the Keefer Ranch, located in the Russian River Valley appellation.

"We have been sourcing Pinot Noir from the Keefer Ranch since 2005, and it has been a gem in our portfolio, having designated the wine since that vintage," winery founder Michael Browne said in a news release.

<CS8.5>Kosta Browne will acquire the K2 block. Marcy Keefer will continue to farm her <NO1>remaining <NO>30 acres, selling <NO1>these <NO>those grapes to her existing winery clients.</CS>

The acquisition of Keefer Ranch comes on the heels of the winery securing a long term lease of 37 acres from the Gap's Crown Vineyard.
