Sonoma County's first baby of the year was a 6-pound, 15-ounce boy named Jonathan Hansen, whose arrival came just minutes after 2010's.
Jonathan was born at 12:06 a.m. Friday at Kaiser Medical Center in Santa Rosa.
He is the second baby for Denise and Kristopher Hansen of Santa Rosa, an arrival that was easier the second time around.

"To push him out, my husband says it took me about an hour," said Denise Hansen, speaking by cell phone Saturday from Kaiser's 3rd-floor labor and delivery department.
"I don't know, I wasn't really paying attention to the clock," she said.
Kristopher Hansen, an electrician who commutes to his job in San Francisco, said he was doing housework when his wife started having contractions New Year's Eve.
"I was cleaning house actually, trying to get everything cleaned up after Christmas so we could have a nice clean home for the baby to come home to," he said.
Denise Hansen said her due date was Jan.4, so the couple wasn't expecting a New Year's Day baby.
"We're just waiting to go home now," she said. "I'm happy, definitely."
If last year is any measure, the birth at Kaiser's Santa Rosa medical center is the first of some 1,800 to come this year.
